Raft® Survival - Ocean Nomad
Ocean survivalAlone on a raft in an endless ocean. The ocean is your home, sharks are your neighbours and a few planks of wood are all that keeps you alive. Hook drifting wreckage, expand your raft floor by floor, craft what you need and swim out to the islands — while something circles beneath you.
How it plays
The loop: hook, craft, expand, explore
Ocean Nomad runs on one loop, and everything else hangs off it: take what the sea brings you, turn it into something better, make the raft bigger, then risk leaving it. The loop tightens as you go — a bigger raft needs more upkeep, and the further you swim, the more there is between you and the way back.
Hook what drifts past
You start with a hook and a raft barely worth the name. Planks, barrels and chests float by on the current, and every one of them is a decision: reach for it now, or wait for something better. Nothing on the water is free — leaning out over the edge is how most first runs end.
Craft what the sea will not give you
Raw material is not survival. At the crafting station you turn salvage into tools, weapons, clothing and the gear that keeps hunger, thirst and health from closing in. Cooking and collecting drinking water are jobs you come back to constantly, not one-time unlocks.
Expand the raft floor by floor
Every new plank is more room for stations, storage and walls — and more surface for something to bite. A raft that grew carefully looks nothing like one that grew fast, and both of them are yours to defend.
Swim out to the islands
Pacific islands, reefs and trenches generate fresh every run. They hold the resources the open water never gives you and the thread of the quest line, but reaching them means being in the water — which is where the sharks have the advantage.
Get through the night
The day-night cycle and the weather are not decoration. Calm turns deadly, visibility drops, and attacks come at the raft you spent all day building. Keeping a spear close at sundown is a habit the ocean teaches quickly.

The world
The ocean you drift through
Ocean Nomad drops you into an apocalyptic world where people are destined to live on the water. Every run generates a new ocean — Pacific islands, reefs and bottomless trenches — with a day-night cycle and weather that turns from calm to deadly. The raft is your base, your farm and your fortress: watch hunger, thirst and health, cook, collect drinking water and keep a spear close when night falls.

Questions
Ocean Nomad questions, answered
Can I play Ocean Nomad with friends?
No — Ocean Nomad is a single-player game. If you want to build one raft with other people, that is a different title in the series: Raft® Survival: Multiplayer.
How do you get resources in the middle of the ocean?
You throw a hook at what floats past — planks, barrels and chests drift within reach on the current. Islands add the rest: you swim out, gather what is there and swim back before something notices you.
What do the sharks actually do?
They circle the raft and attack it, and they attack you in the water. Keeping a weapon crafted and repaired is part of the survival loop, not an optional extra.
Is Ocean Nomad free?
It is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. The listing also shows in-app purchases and ads.
What do I need to play Ocean Nomad?
It runs on iPhone and iPad running iOS 13.0 or later and on Android devices through Google Play.
What age rating does Ocean Nomad have?
The stores rate it 9+ on the App Store and Everyone 10+ on Google Play. Ratings are set by the stores, not by us.
Is Ocean Nomad still being updated?
Yes — the most recent update on the official listings is dated 2 July 2026 (version 2.9.3 on iOS).
Who makes Ocean Nomad?
Survival Games Ltd, a mobile game studio registered in the United Kingdom. We develop and publish it ourselves on both stores — more about the studio.
